PopChar

PopChar is a detailed character map that can help you find virtually any letter or symbol from a certain source, regardless which language it's in.

PopChar has a powerful search function that can locate all versions of the same character in the font you select. For the search string, you can use the character itself, its name, or the appropriate Unicode code.

Unicode support means that PopChar can organize the characters into appropriate categories according to this coding system. You can also use a magnifying glass to enlarge the characters, a history function to see the most recent characters you've used, and various insertion methods to add the characters to the text.

What's more, you can also use PopChar to figure out the key combinations required to write any character.

PopChar will run as a menu bar item, but you can choose to put it in the upper right or left corner of the screen. You can access the character map by clicking on the program icon.
